The honorable Judge, Chuck Wardle, presides over the Rainier Municipal Court, which deals with traffic infractions, Rainier City Ordinance Violations and Misdemeanor criminal offenses that occur within the city limits of Rainier.

Court dates and times may vary according to what is on the docket. Court is held in Room #2 of the Rainier City Hall building.

The court clerk, Tina Viuhkola, is at City Hall Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and can be reached by calling (503) 556-3644. Judge Wardle is only present on court days.

The Municipal Judge tries all cases brought to the Municipal Court and may bring parties to trial after complaints have been made. Services by the Prosecuting Attorney are provided on a contractual basis and the City is billed for actual time servicing the Court.
