Land Use & Development
The Department of Land Use and Development is responsible for all City land use, planning and community development activities performed by the City. The City contracts for general oversight and administration of land use and planning activities.
The City Planner assists the City Council, Planning Commission and staff to review building permits, site and development plans, interpreting zoning codes and the City's comprehensive plan. Services recently provided include; zoning ordinance update, City transportation plan, and zoning enforcement.
The City Account Clerk provides staff assistance to the City Planner and Planning Commission.
