Marina and Boat Launch
Located on the Mighty Columbia River at the foot of East 3rd Street (approximately 500 feet north of U.S. Highway 30), the City of Rainier maintains a single lane concrete boat launch. The launch includes a gravel parking area, several boarding floats, 24 moorage slips, a 300-foot transient tie-up, a sewer dump station, and a portable toilet wash station. With the exception of the launch ramp, a complete restoration project was completed in the Spring of 2003. The restoration included twelve new public moorage slips, a 300-foot transient tie-up, and an elevated aluminum gangway. The boat launch and marina are open year around and are very popular during the spring and fall salmon seasons.
A launch/parking pass is available for two-dollars per day, which is collected using an automated ticket machine. The ticket machine accepts one-dollar and five-dollar bills and coins. The City also offers an annual launch pass for $48.00 that is valid from July 1st through June 30th. A prorated annual pass can be purchased for $24.00 starting January 1st.
MOORAGE Agreement and Fees
The marina includes both permanent and overnight moorage. Over-night moorage is accommodated on the 300-foot long transient tie-up. Permanent moorage is provided in one of twenty-four slips, which can be rented by the month, semi-annual, and annual. Permanent moorage is on a first come first serve basis, and if no slips are available at the time, your name can be added to a waiting list.
